We welcome and encourage graduates from all osteopathic medical colleges to participate with CORE OGME residency programs. We hope you find the resources here helpful.
The CORE is an Osteopathic Postdoctoral Training Institute (OPTI) associated with the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.
In addition to OU-HCOM graduates, graduates from CORE’s Affiliated Colleges participate in CORE programs, and we hope that graduates from other programs will choose to join CORE. Affiliated colleges include Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine (DMU-COM), Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences (KCUMB), A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM), A.T. Still University-School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA), Midwestern University-Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (AZCOM), and the University of Pikeville-Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine (UP-KYCOM)..
Each CORE Resident is eligible for a faculty appointment to the OPTI teaching rosters through an OU-HCOM clinical faculty appointment. The Faculty Development section discusses eligibility and appointment guidelines.
Residency Program Advisory Committees and Osteopathic Residents Advisory Committees are educational programs that serve as an important part of the CORE residency experience. Other teaching and learning resources, such as the Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine section, are open for your exploration.
The CORE Research Office guides members of the CORE community through the entire research process. Here you will find the steps needed to conduct research accurately and efficiently.
We encourage any questions or feedback and always welcome any ideas of how we can better serve your needs.
